I have an ovarian cyst, could it be cancer?
Hi I was taken to A&E after severe pain in my side.(( My G.P had suspected kidney stones after 3 courses of meds after infection ( detected after urine dip test)) It turned out not to be kidney stones at all but a cyst on my Right Ovary (spotted on scan). I was just sent home with a months supply of co-codamol. Since the I have recieved an appointment for a second follow up scan which is on the 23rd May. I was given no info on size, type etc…but I did see that the cyst had a division so looked like 2 joined together, After looking on many sites I have took it to be a complex septated cyst??? The question is I am 49 I have had partial Hysterectomy and have not a period for over 15 yrs Is it likely/possible it could be cancer?
I have not had a period because of the hysterectomy, but I still get the sore breasts etc once a month so guess my ovary is functioning (they said I only have one so my body must have broke the other one down? No menopause symptoms as yet, so you have put my mind at rest a little! Thanks
